Privacy boundary

Only the data the learning loop needs.

ClearMark keeps practice evidence tied to a stable signed-in identity without building an unnecessary learner profile.

What ClearMark stores

Study sessions, responses, awarded evidence, feedback, mistake tags, retest schedules, mastery snapshots, class membership and assignment completion.

What ClearMark does not ask for

No date of birth, home address, phone number, school ID or public learner profile. The product is intended for learners aged 13+ and above the applicable age of digital consent.

Public front door, private records

Anyone can view the homepage and sign-in page. Attempts, responses, feedback, mistakes, retests, classes and progress remain behind both ChatGPT sign-in and an active server-side ClearMark access grant.

Teacher visibility

Teachers receive aggregate attempts, assignment completion, active mistakes, due retests and topic evidence. Raw answers, question/source text, marking rules, mark-point mappings, detailed feedback and AI advisory prose remain hidden.

Optional AI boundary

AI coaching is off by default and limited to eligible adult users. It is advisory only and cannot change deterministic evidence, mistakes, retests or mastery. Accounting responses are never sent for AI marking.

Operational telemetry

Student answer text, private question text, mark-scheme material, tokens and feedback prose are excluded from operational logs and analytics.

Your copy of your data

Signed-in people with active ClearMark access can download their own submitted learner-practice record from Account. The JSON file includes their submitted responses and learning history while excluding saved drafts, other people, class rosters, hidden marking rules, question-library content, AI advisory text and authentication data.
